Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use govern your use of the CeleIndy mobile application provided by Celestial Church of Christ Indiana Cathedral. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Purpose of the app

CeleIndy provides church information, worship media, livestreams, optional public live-service chat, private prayer-request submission, church-store pickup ordering, and links to third-party services. Live-chat posting uses a temporary anonymous guest session and does not require an email-and-password account.

Livestreams, YouTube API Services, and media

Video and audio may be delivered by YouTube or AWS IVS and remain subject to the provider’s terms. CeleIndy uses the YouTube Data API v3 to check the church’s public channel for a currently active live broadcast and may temporarily store the public video identifier, watch URL, live status, and check time. CeleIndy does not request access to a user’s Google or YouTube account and does not perform uploads, comments, playlist changes, or other account actions. Your use of YouTube features is also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. Broadcast schedules, recordings, captions, and availability may change without notice. You may use app content only for personal, non-commercial viewing unless the applicable rights holder gives written permission.

Zoom meeting links

Eligible meeting schedules may display a participant meeting ID, passcode, and Join action. Tapping Join asks your device to open the published HTTPS Zoom link in the Zoom app or website. CeleIndy does not authenticate you with Zoom, join on your behalf, or receive meeting audio, video, chat, attendance, or Zoom account credentials. You are responsible for reviewing Zoom’s terms and privacy practices before participating and for following the meeting host’s rules.

Live chat and user content

Live-chat messages and display names are public. You retain ownership of content you submit, but you grant the church a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, transmit, moderate, and retain that content as reasonably necessary to operate and protect the service. Do not post harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual or violent content, illegal material, spam, impersonation, private or confidential information, advertising, or content that infringes another person’s rights. We may hide or remove content and restrict access when reasonably necessary for safety, moderation, legal compliance, or enforcement of these terms. Live chat is not monitored continuously and must not be used for emergencies or confidential prayer requests.

Prayer requests

Prayer requests are submitted privately for authorized church administrators. They are not a substitute for emergency, medical, mental-health, legal, or professional services. Do not use the prayer feature for an emergency; contact the appropriate emergency service. Submit only information you have the right to provide and avoid unnecessary sensitive documents or identifying details about another person.

Church-store orders

Store orders are requests for church pickup and are subject to product availability and confirmation. Provide accurate pickup contact information. Payment is completed separately through Cash App or your bank’s Zelle service. CeleIndy records the selected method for order coordination but does not collect banking passwords, card numbers, account numbers, or verification codes. Verify the destination, amount, and order reference before paying.

Donations

Donation links direct you to Givelify, an independent service. CeleIndy does not process donations or store Givelify payment credentials. Before submitting a donation, verify the recipient, amount, and any recurring-payment selection. Givelify’s terms and privacy policy govern the transaction. Questions about a completed transaction should be directed to Givelify and, where appropriate, the church.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, evade moderation, flood or automate chat submissions, reverse engineer the app except where law permits, bypass security controls, or use church names, logos, or media in a misleading or unlawful way.

Intellectual property

The app design, church branding, original text, graphics, and other church-owned materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party media remains the property of its respective owner. No ownership rights are transferred to you.

Third-party services

Links and integrations supplied by YouTube, AWS, Zoom, Givelify, or other third parties are provided for convenience. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, security, availability, or data practices. Their terms apply when you use them.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the church is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the app or a third-party service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes and termination

We may update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app and may revise these terms. Continued use after revised terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Questions may be sent to Celeindyparish@gmail.com.
